Al Beck is a New Jersey, Philadelphia, & New York City based makeup artist. From an early age, he was always interested in art and horror, so it wasn't long before he discovered special make-up effects. Starting off as a self taught makeup artist, Al took his talents to local haunted attractions when he was 17. After cultivating his skill set while working at haunted attractions for two seasons, Al refined his skills even further by attending The Master’s Program at Make-up Designory. Here, he took his real-world experiences and applied them to further explorations of the special effects field. Al’s experiences during this time period helped him gain a stronger passion for beauty makeup and add it to his growing repertoire.
Post graduation, Al has been working on film sets, weddings/proms, music videos, haunted attractions, and other special events. Al's main priority is ensuring that everybody feels comfortable in their own skin from the moment they sit in his chair, while providing a sanitary and welcoming experience. Whether he is turning them into a grotesque monster, or enhancing their natural beauty.
